PLOT ENGAGEMENT (ARCHIVED)

> PLOT ENGAGEMENT (ARCHIVED)

What is Plot Engagement and how does it work within Meadowlark? This is the page where players can come discuss with us how to facilitate plots within the setting. However, there will be occasions where a plot doesn't work within Meadowlark's world, and we'll suggest alternative routes. For small worldbuilding or gameplay details, please direct your question to the FAQ. If you're ever not sure if you're at the right page, don't worry—we'll help you get it sorted out. We know we have a load of info!

WHEN WILL YOU HEAR BACK?

◉ All Plot Engagement answers go out on Sunday, except during events.
◉ The deadline to submit a question and ensure you'll hear back from us on Sunday is 11:59 PM UTC on Saturday.

PLOT ENGAGEMENT INCLUDES

◉ Player plots! If you'd like your character to become a mafia boss, this is your place to start. Typically, this involves anything that could impact the setting or other player characters.
◉ Character career advancement that gives the character additional power or status within the setting.
◉ Metaplot exploration and information! We plan all events to give characters something to explore after the event ends. This is the place to do it!

SUBMISSION TIPS

◉ Specify what your character is looking for when they're investigating. What questions are they asking and what angle are they trying to explore?
◉ If you have a specific goal in mind but don't know how to reach it, please let us know.
◉ If you link a thread to us, please summarize it! That helps us process the plot in question.
◉ Don't worry about not knowing the setting like the back of your hand before you submit the plot—that's up to us! We're here to help you with any adjustments to get you on the right track.

NOTES & THINGS THAT YOU CAN HANDWAVE

◉ Characters always start out in entry level positions. Characters can update their skill sets to the 2512 standard through paid apprenticeships or internships.

◈ If a character is advancing within a major corporation (as noted on the Setting or Locations page) or one of its subsidiaries, we will need to approve this advancement.
◈ If a character becomes a supervisor at a local bar or other small business, we do not need to approve this advancement.

◉ Joining the police force within a city requires three months of IC training (six months OOC).
◉ We'll approve whether someone has social media fame, but we will not be providing social media follower counts. Once you have a plot for how to use those followers, that's where we step in!
◉ All Morningstar business goes on our Morningstar page. Please feel free to discuss specific plots here (including joining), and go there for signups and anything else.
◉ Characters getting jobs, finding apartments, participating in the fighting rings, getting married, making workplace friends, the creation of minor NPCs, etc. do not need to be run by us. Please let us know if these expand into player plots or other plot bits!

ok, so:

1. how would someone go about joining morningstar officially? would there be something they'd need to do to further prove their value/earn trust? would joining morningstar mean that they wouldn't be able to look for work elsewhere?

2. i remember there was mention of gangs and organized crime in the testdrive. that they would recruit people into their ranks provided they proved themselves. do the gangs have any official names? how would someone go about...getting involved/a meeting with whoever they need to in order to join?
also, sort of related: what's the illegal gambling like? cards and betting on fights, i'd assume, but do they have things like street racing as well.

3. is there some kind of courier service/job that someone could take that allows them to travel the city while garnering very little notice? legal or illegal?

4. how much would a hoverbike cost?

5. is there a library?

...and since i should have included this before:

6. what is the relationship between Earth and the colonies like? would it be possible for someone from the colonies to have been involved in some kind of military service? following on from that, if so, could they get involved in some kind of private security/contract work?

I'd like to get Rey set up working at some kind of vehicle repair shop that's owned by the criminal underground, preferably something low-level where organized crime (a) traffics stuff through, (b) gets their repair work done, (c) fence/scrap stolen vehicles. My hope (and Rey's) is that she might be able to use her mechanical know-how there and establish herself as an easily overlooked setpiece that allows her to overhear members of those groups talking about things like:
  • the UNA

  • the general political landscape between morningstar, una, etc.

  • the weird "UNA weapons shipment" in which the characters arrived and/or if there's anything like that happening again

  • important names in the New Amsterdam crime world (i.e., ppl who might be able to shed more light on these other topics)
so I'm basically wondering if this is an ok direction to go in getting started and if she'd overhear any interesting rumors, gossip, news that she could branch on from and share with others (incl morningstar).

and i'd like to see about getting her working on acquiring or building her own hoverbike from scrap there as part of a side project.

pls advise how much of this is feasible/if it gets her anything actionable.

Hi!

I'm interested in having Keith join Morningstar. He is one of the morons who decided to take down the Kaiju, so that may either be a point in his favor ... or against? I'm not sure. Either way, it would've been apparent during his background stuff that he's got experience as a field operative with a super secret organization (the Blade of Marmora in Voltron canon), as well as a humanitarian organization that runs around with a giant robot (Team Voltron itself). He would naturally default to wanting to join a rebel organization that wants to do good in the world, and he would also want to repay them for saving everyone's lives. My overall goal for him right now is to get down and dirty and learn the ropes of what Morningstar is doing, and go from there.

On the flip side, I'm having a hard time with Keith settling into civilian life for ... obvious reasons. Most of his training and experience, while he has both in spades, won't easily apply to most jobs that civilians have. He's not only a fighter, he's also a fighter pilot. So a few ideas I've been tossing around:

- A bouncer or someone's personal security?
- Security guard?
- Taxi driver (I'm not sure what the credentials are for this)
- If there's any kind of shuttle driver out into space? Again, not sure about credentials. Would Morningstar be able to help on that front?

Hi ... again ...

This comment is for Clarke.

My long-term goal for her is to find who the fuck captured her and her friends and maybe do some bad stuff to them. Short term, though, is to get those test results back and begin looking into how to follow up on that lead. She won't want to join Morningstar and will make it clear that she wants to follow this lead and will work with them, but isn't interested in dealing with their interests (that last bit will be more implied than stated).

Otherwise, I'm not sure where someone like her can get a job. She has limited medical training and experience, mostly the equivalent of field medic training on the job. But she's 18, and I think that's pretty young in this world? I'm not sure if she can swing for being older looking and then have more of an explanation for this. I was thinking something like a medical assistant or tech of some kind, and I'm not sure if El would be able to set her up because of the age discrepancy.

So, in short:

1. What do the test results say?
2. What kind of medical-y job can she get, if she can get one?
and 3, unrelated but relevantish to Clarke's other stuff: What does she have to do so she can start doing art? This is a personal thing for her, but I'm not sure where to start with it in world.

I'm not 100% sure yet if I'm going to keep Mei going down the climatologist route here in game because it could be fun to stretch beyond her comfort zone a little, however, I'd like to know what she could be in for if I do choose to fall back on that job.

1. What would her entry level position be if she worked with the atmospheric stabilization grid?

2. Would there be opportunities for advancement and what would the time frame be on that (I'm guessing probably a couple years at least for one promotion, but I'm trying to work out if Mei would think it was worth sticking with to advance)?

3. Same questions but for terraforming instead?

Okay, so those are my climate job questions. Now onto other possibilities.

1. Are there still language barriers in the world? I see the world capital is New Beijing, and seeing how Mei is Chinese, she could work as a translator in New Amsterdam if there isn't just one world language or anything. If this is a possibility, what organizations/groups/businesses would need translation work?

2. Any ideas what jobs might work for someone who's good at cobbling together something new from spare parts, or is there no market for that here?

Hello there mods.

So I've got a rough plan for Eren's false history. I decided it would be best if it was something he came up with it after he decided what sort of job/role he wanted to fill in the city. A few questions I want to ask are:

1. In the faq it mentions personal weaponry is outright illegal. Would owning and carrying arms be permissible with the proper licensing, and if so does it require one to be a government/military worker such as a soldier or a police officer?

2. To add onto the first question, is this limit on weaponry strictly a New Amsterdam thing, or is it universal across Earth?

3. Now this might seem like a strangely specific question to ask here, but what is the state of the African continent and Madagascar at this time? It's mentioned that large parts of the Earth are now underwater, so I was wondering whether or not implementing this into his backstory would be viable or not.

To elaborate on why these questions particularly, it's because I feel like Eren's foremost priorities would be in being able to defend himself, and to play a role that's closest to home. Though the closest he could probably get would be to join the UNA, that idea felt more than a little restricting, not to mention a bit tough to implement into a false history. So the second option would be to supposedly have a history in the police force and working as private security in the present. It would give him some leeway with the law along with plenty of reason to do dirty work and go places he shouldn't.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer and giving the players so much to think about, you're all doing a great job with the world building and I can't wait to see more. Keep up the good work.

Hey mods,

I've got a few questions for you. Some of them are related to Loki's exploits and a few are just general inquiries!

General things that tie up into other things:
  1. The setting page says there's no paper, manuscripts, or books. Is there a way to access information to check the history of the world, political documents, and general, um, fictional romance novels??
  2. It's mentioned on the wrap up that the videos of those who took down the monster were taken off of social media. What kind of social media is there? Is it like YouTube, Twitter, or some mix of the two? Can someone get an account through neural implants?
  3. Is there a Norway? If so, is it ... ok ...?? Or is it one of those dead parts of the world?

My idea for Loki was to start him at one of the larger companies as an (eventual) understudy, or somewhere that he can really profile the more devious parts of his personality. I'd be looking for a way for him to eventually hit the underworld by starting somewhere on the corporate ladder. Specific to Loki's interests:
  1. What do normal, entry-level jobs look like? Baristas, waiters/waitresses, is there a need for retail/service/stock workers? Do workers work on contract, or do they gain full employment?
  2. What kind of qualifications would one of the larger companies be looking for to start somewhere with the promise of moving up? What's the corporate atmosphere like?
  3. Following up with Morningstar, Loki's going to ask who would possibly censor the information about the giant monster?
  4. Specific to Thor and Loki who are brothers, would it be possible for them to be half brothers, or brothers through another marriage to accommodate their own current story? (Loki has the feeling that Thor's just gonna call him "brother" no matter what they do ... best to work that into the cover somehow.)

I KNOW IT'S A LOT OF QUESTIONS, so let me know if anything needs clarification. I think that's it! Thanks mods!

Hi! Here's all my stuff:

1. Sniper's going into sex work with an eye toward establishing cash flow—so this is assuming they can make a decent living doing it. They are actually experienced with high-level escort work so the skills are there. Eventually, they're going to try and use this as an avenue to access people with money AKA power.

2. They'll want to try and maintain a relationship with Morningstar. They'd refuse to be under a formal command structure but willing to be frank about the fact that they're skilled and open to doing one-off jobs in exchange for information. They did the sharpshooting in the kaiju takedown and will expect that to verify their credentials but like, they're flexible. Would Gaby pick up what they're putting down?

Hi hi!

1. Akane will want to work closely with Morningstar! She's definitely not someone who is useful for any blue-collar skills so she'd work more analytically if there is a job for that! So what jobs would be available to her? Of course, she'd try to get information if she could from Morningstar itself.

She definitely wants to keep a relationship with them, that hopefully stays positive. But she'll also be that feisty worker that fights orders she doesn't agree with or finds glaring flaws in.

But overall, I'm trying to figure out a good job for her because she's used to being a boss of her own organization and being rich. That said, she is a very hard worker and has an amazing work ethic. Also stupidly intelligent even if she acts like an airhead.

All in all, she's used to remaining hidden so she won't go out much unless she feels the need to or wants to help others.

2. Will the cops take the car she stole, or can she keep it and figure out how to work it fully? She probably tried to keep it hidden if Gaby let her hide it or did Gaby take the car away?

hey mods, i had some questions that piggyback somewhat off your answers to mal and tifa!

1. i just want to doublecheck that if vax were to join morningstar, he would still be able to pursue inroads with the organized crime elements in the city?

2. what's a realistic time frame on integrating/impressing a gang via the fighting pits? i can provide some details on vax's combat capability if that would be helpful to you guys wrt gauging how quickly he'd be able to make an impression.

3. as far as couriers, would a character be able to take on both legal and illegal jobs?

4. would characters be able to seek jobs with local law enforcement? could bellamy feasibly begin working his way towards becoming an officer and gaining access to their systems to look for any clues relating to their own arrival and/or any information on the monsters?

hi mods! i have a few questions and i do apologize if they were already answered!

1. i plan on having ciri join morningstar and using a courier position as her 'day job' — preferably one that involves a hoverbike. can you tell me just how risky moving illegal goods are? if she is caught, does that put morningstar at risk?

2. essentially, an occupation she partakes in witcher is that of a monster-hunter, taking odd jobs and the like through contracts — i wanted to allude to something similar but i want to know if taking the illegal jobs are black and white (illegal=bad, etc) or if there's some flexibility there for my ciri's own morality?

3. working with morningstar is more of a mutual using, she feels — will she get in trouble with the higher ups of morningstar for vocally disapproving of some of their choices? by basically being involved, she stubbornly can guess they're the only way to help find answers... but she won't be comfortable fully enlisting, basically.

4. me and a few players are definitely planning to find a place to live outside of morningstar, but they're super private people... does morningstar have the technology or ability to have their future residence more secure — ie: scramblers with any possible spy tech, pseudonyms under lease agreements, extra home security like locks and alarms, etc? just thinking ahead of time!

5. in regards to hoverbikes — how long would you guestimate it would take for characters to be able to lease/buy a hoverbike capable of racing (not courier-grade)?

6. is gaby single and ready to mingle :(

hello mods, I am here with questions like the other cool kids!! thanks for all the work you're putting in to this, it's making plotting very fun and exciting

First: Thor is interested in joining Morningstar! Mostly so he and his brother have that connection as a source of information, but also because Thor is a sap who thinks that helping people is important. Once he's joined and he's carried out a number of tasks for them will he be expected to keep helping with every thing that comes up? What are the consequences if he chooses not to help out with things?

Second: Thor is super keen on underground fighting (and especially rigging some fights with Loki to make some sweet, sweet $$$$). If they're smart/not obvious about it, is this 1. a good source of income, 2. something with ranks Thor could move through to access higher level fights with more money?

Third: Thor's got a dream to open his own gym, just to have a steady stream of income. Do people actually still do physical exercise or should he find another dream.

with the implants being used so much in everything, is hacking a possible thing? back home wrench and his friends often used their phones for certain hacks, so would someone who studied the code of things enough be able to figure ways around security? are there any sort of underground hacker groups that might have resources available to those who figure things out, or would wrench have to start his own?

related to underground groups, while he's been annoyed by morningstar just because of the way everything started, eventually he'll realize they're kind of his thing and i plan on having him join.

HI MODS I'm joining the party here with a handful of questions that'll help me figure out what direction Stephen's going to head in the next

I think I want to set him off down the neural technology path - learning everything he can, getting into research circles with a view to understanding everything there is to know about how the implant interacts with the brain/if there are ways to manipulate it/if it's a possible cause of power loss, gain and the emotional relay etc and just generally keeping his finger on the pulse of any new discoveries coming out of the neuroscience field here (and potentially making some of his own).

1. If he gives El his ex-renowned neurosurgeon backstory, would Morningstar be willing to hit him up with a "researcher in the field of neural technology" style ID background to get him going since I'm guessing the sort of neurosurgery/science Stephen's most used to is largely outmoded by now? he's absolutely going to sequester himself in a learning bubble for as long as it takes to know every up to date piece of information there is out there on this time's neurology and related technology though so getting to an expert enough level to sell the ID isn't going to take him too long

2. Is there anything that he might read/hear/learn during initial research on the subject (he goes hard on that research train yo) that you think is particularly interesting/likely to stand out about the implants or just general modern knowledge about the brain?

3. What is the research industry like in this field and would it even be possible for him to start working in it? What sort of a level would he have to start at to infiltrate and h... ow? Would he go about getting a job?

4. If he managed to establish himself in those circles and expressed an interest in working with Morningstar, would they be interested in having him? He likely won't volunteer himself for active duty style missions but he'll be happy to pass on information he learns inside research facilities or do any specific recon/snooping they need once he's done his own research on them and is comfortable that they're probably not a hellscape.

5a. Regarding neural implants, are messages and the like exclusively stored on the implant or are they also remembered by the brain itself? So could Stephen theoretically with his new powers find imperfect memories of received messages (clearer depending on how recent the message is, hanging on but in some indistinct form if it's a memorable but older communication etc) if I got permission from player characters/plotted out something cool with you all for spying on NPCs etc?

b. And given the nature of his new powers could Stephen potentially (after many many power upgrades ahaha) bypass the security measures inherent in neural implants to operate other peoples' implants directly via their brain? Essentially like when a tech guy takes over your computer screen remotely. This spins off down a whole other rabbit hole of various exciting implant-based adventures but he's not going to be leveling up from basic for a while so I won't bombard you with a billion specific questions about it until that becomes relevant ahahah

aaaaand 6, not directly related to neural implants and research BUT: given all the medical advancements, is there likely to be something that exists now which could heal the nerve/muscle damage in his hands, or prosthetics that most people would've opted for over keeping their struggling hands, etc? And would he be looked at oddly for... not? Seeking that out? Especially if he starts working in this field, is he going to be able to pass himself off as some kind of mysterious hippy genius who prefers to remain organic and still gain respect in the field or will he have to get his hands fixed to really get anywhere?

I'm so sorry that got crazy, and also apologies in case any of that is in the wrong post. Thank you very much in advance and please don't be in any rush to get back to me, these questions are A Lot. Never again will I ever write up plot involvement questions after midnight (I will, and it will be exactly this much of a disaster).

okay definitely changed my mind about touching base with all of my updates on connor and him joining morningstar. he promised gaby and wants to find casper to thank him for the arrival fiasco... he thinks it's a good cause, even if he's a little more peeved about the whole robots-being-overthrown thing and it'll remain a touchy subject for him because he has some regrets. with that in mind, here we go!

— connor's going to be super annoying where helping out is concerned, he feels he owes his saviours a debt and he is super gung-ho about helping out for now. of course, he maintains that should he need the freedom, he'll bow out and be available when they call but for now he's in.

— he's going to take a job as an occupational health and safety inspector, go into npcs' and pcs' places of work and tell them all the ways they could die horribly if their company doesn't fix his specific requests (he hopes this'll also be decent spy-work, but he may actually just enjoy doing it). it doesn't need schooling, thanks google, just a course he'll willingly take - or have forged and take anyway because he's a mega nerd-, as well as the first-aid courses and whmis training he likely needs to do.

— he really wants to get into low-key helping any leftover androids, if there are any, or use his job as an in if there are any like him being experimented on in the city... he's also looking for reasons why he's been turned into a fleshwad human, because that's a giant concern right now and knowing he can die permanently when he's the stupidest person alive when it comes to danger is a lot scarier now. so i'm wondering if there's any word about rebel androids who escaped the war, or any last vestiges of it to be found!

— he'll be frequenting any sort of holographic archive or "library" - as our great, great grandfathers used to call it - to find out more about this attempted hostile takeover, so any further information on like... who created them or any technical details about what exactly went wrong would be so awesome!

Hi! Two quick questions regarding my characters getting a job:

1. What entry-levels jobs are available at the docks? Hauling cargo 'n such? Does one of them lend itself to possibly ultimately joining a ship's crew?

2. If Bobbi demonstrated that she knows her science, could she get a job in R&D at some company?

Hi! So I've seen that characters joining Morningstar just need to say as much to one of the NPCs. Is it alright if Murphy does this by saying something to Gaby in the immediate aftermath of the event? I'd like him to kind of forget he did it at a point of "this seems the best survival option", and then he starts getting contacted for jobs and is stuck with his decisions.

Also I read in the setting that people stay in education until 18. Murphy is 17, so is it possible for his fake ID to have him aged up a year so he doesn't have to go to school? His academic history is rough, he really wouldn't do well.

Thanks!

Hey mods!

1. Piggy-backing off Veronica and Gee’s questions, if Fitz explained his prior engineering and technology experience to El/Gaby/Morningstar, could he get a fake background in those fields? Totally good with getting an entry-level lab tech type position in this great big world of advanced science.

2. And, with that background, would there be a place for him at one of the big three corporate companies out there? Or is he better suited to starting at a tech company?

3. I’m also interested in Fitz getting involved with organised crime. I spied your answer to Mal and noticed the illegal robot dog fights as one means for doing so! Could you provide more information on how to seek this out and get involved?

Thank you in advance!!

Hello! I just have a few questions to help me figure out the viability of some of Markus’ potential work opportunities! since the terrifying AI war questions were already asked

1. Firstly, I believe that Markus will likely express an interest in joining Morningstar, or otherwise aiding them when they think they need him. He’d ask Gaby about it sometime before the newbies would be allowed to leave the safehouse and explore the city.

2a. What’s the art scene in New Amsterdam look like? I know that a lot of it has gone digital, but Markus will have a hard time believing that doesn’t still exist in its various physical forms, given its nature, and will seek out galleries, festivals, studios, etc.

2b. That being said, what are the job opportunities for someone who might want to utilize their talents as a fine artist? If there are establishments hiring, would they want potential employees to have an education centered around art, or do they care more to see a personal, curated portfolio of an individual’s work? If an education is required, would Morningstar be able to falsify records for Markus?

3. What’s the city nightlife scene look like, especially in regards to live music? Specifically, is there a need for live ambient piano music at a high class restaurant or bar, etc.? Markus can play and play quite well, and this would be a nice “nighttime gig” for him that may prove flexible with whatever his daytime schedule dictates, would give him an opportunity to earn more income, and maybe open up avenues to hobnob with the wealthier upper class. Would this be viable at all?

good evening, mods! just a few questions to try and hammer down daisy's future in these fun parts:

1: as far as a civilian role goes, she'd very much like to dive into something that will give her hands-on experience with the techworld of new amsterdam (though her expertise is certainly more in the software vs hardware side of things). of the companies in the city, which ones might be most likely to hire a competent it / cybersecurity consultant? i know you've mentioned the three "umbrella" companies, but if there are any particular names of subsidiaries that might be the most viable, that would be appreciated!

2: of those companies, do any of those have existing links to morningstar? are there 'plant' operatives in any of those companies that might make them more accessible to a new arrival with a forged background?

3: assuming daisy expressed a tentative interest in working with morningstar, would there be any particular provisional jobs they might assign her sooner rather than later that i might be able to tap into for ic interaction purposes?

4: semi-related to this, daisy plans to supplement her assumed minimal income and access by relying on her old standby of petty theft and social engineering. from my understanding, all of the "traditional" objects of lifting wouldn't be accessible to her — with everything accessible through the neural implant, is there anything valuable that she might be able to access? basic items that can be pawned for cash, like watches, or things that connect to other objects, like keys to hoverbikes or even just to manual bike locks?

i'm sure i'll think of other things, but that's it for right now!

sidles on over to this

1) Scott would express an interest in continuing to help Morningstar with their goings-on, if only to repay the favor they've done by taking everyone in at great risk. Given his superhero background he's got a great preference for doing something that's actively beneficial to others at this time, and he needs some kind of home base of allies/information to start figuring out what's going on. He has a lot of skills that could be of use to them, which I will...semi-come back to later in this.

2) Scott's long-term goals will be about solving the mystery of how they got here and how to get them back. (A corollary would be who is responsible and putting a stop to it, but it's more important to him right now to put things right than take revenge.) Short-term, he wants to investigate the mystery of the randomly appearing monsters and whether or not they're connected in some way to intradimensional phenomenon. So:

a. what would be the most effective way of getting TO the site in question? Presumably it's guarded by the military. Is there some kind of waste clean-up or a way of moving out of the city via the sewers that he could access if he were to, say, go into city sanitation or plubming or something?

b. is there anyone in the city involved in researching this kind of phenomenon (not monsters specifically, but dimensional physics etc) either at any of the corporations or universities? what would be the best way to find and/or approach them?

c. what's going to happen to the monsters (especially the big one)? will any be saved intact for further study? who is primarily conducting the research into them, and is it possible to get access to that research through legitimate means?

Scott's background's rather diversified and lends itself well to a bunch of different cover stories or approaches: he's the strategic genius of the X-Men and highly analytical, really good at tactics and investigation and putting all the pieces together. He's got a number of blue-collar skills as well, primarily from his time in space, so he could be a reliable mechanic or electrician and probably pick up something else (like plumbing) fairly easily. But he's of the right age to also be some kind of young eager-beaver student or assistant (and he was a really good student when he was IN school.)

I was leaning towards the plumbing/cleaning aspect because it tends to fly under the radar while offering a lot of access to a number of different locations without arousing suspicion. I'm up for tying his employment to furthering this quest if needed, I'm just not sure what the best route is for Scott to get at it directly/effectively to further his ends.

3) If Scott should decide to continue playing superhero in his spare time, is that feasible? There's obviously an issue of maintaining his secret identity that he'd have to work around, now that the implants are registered and up and running. What kind of steps does someone have to go to, to keep their identity under wraps (if only for short periods of time while they're being a relentless do-gooder)? Would it be as simple as just putting on a mask or would it take more involved workarounds to make sure it couldn't come back to him?

I don't actually have any real plans to pursue solo vigilantism, but I figure it's worth asking what it would take to make that work and if it's in any way viable, for future reference. I imagine it is not encouraged in New Amsterdam at all.

hi, guys.

so in this thread kylo and rey gather the following:
  • 1 ( 1 ) sample of crab blood
  • 1 ( 1 ) really small sample of crab venom
  • 1 ( 1 ) palm sized section of crab tentacle
as stated in my initial ask to you guys here, he'll turn these over to morningstar for analysis and would be interested in hearing what, if anything, can be learned.

Hi!

Clarke is going to be taking another round of samples, this time blood ones to hand off to Morningstar. Since it's for Markus and Connor - both Morningstar members - she thinks it'll be ok.

She wants to test Markus' blood for any biological agents that might be dormant, IE "Did they use these three new people as biological warfare that's waiting to be triggered?" Clarke knows there's a chance that something wouldn't come up, but she'd want to look for peace of mind.

She also wants to run tests on both Connor and Markus' blood to see if anything unusual comes up (any weird levels in their blood, any signs of increased iron because ... once robots sort of, etc.) because they've been transported to android bodies, as well as if they have any allergies now that they're in these bodies. This last bit was Markus' idea (ICly), but she'd want to see if maybe they were made perfect or even imperfect when transferred over.

She'd also want to ask if there's some way if they can test if both of Markus' eyes have the same DNA, but she wouldn't have the means to do that yet.

Thanks!
