> LOCATIONS

While the moderators will make up their fair share of locations, we want everyone to feel comfortable exploring and expanding upon the world of Meadowlark. This page will never be definitive as it's meant to be player built more than mod built. We will include any major locations down below that we feel are necessary.

> LIMITATIONS

The only limitations in place in game involve any major corporations - either in New Amsterdam or the world as a whole. All of Meadowlark's fictional corporations factor into the game's greater worldbuild and need to be carefully monitored by the moderators.

Right now, the three big established corporations in New Amsterdam are Pulsar, Vyonation, and Giles Bell. While each of these companies are worldwide operations, their headquarters are in New Amsterdam itself. These are not the only corporations in Meadowlark's world, however.

If you have any suggestions or ideas for these corporations, as well as outlets for opportunities, please contact us on our PLOT ENGAGEMENT POST.

Otherwise, please keep our SETTING PAGE in mind when you comment here. If you introduce a new business, name a park, or even develop a new apartment complex, we want to make sure that it adheres to the limitations of our game. For example: coffee shops exist, but are extremely expensive and only found within high-scale areas like New Amsterdam's financial district. Apartment complexes will largely involve smaller units - anything larger would be out of the range of all of the characters' budgets.

We will only monitor this page for anything that doesn't adhere to the setting, and ask that someone resubmit according to the guidelines of the game itself.

Following our eighth event, characters opened up the world through a fast travel network. Since travel between New Amsterdam and other locations is now much quicker, we have opened up a section below to allow players to begin to create locations outside of New Amsterdam. Please refer to the Outside of New Amsterdam comment for some additional information.

BLOK
Location: BLOK is located in a small warehouse in the industrial part of the city.
Appearance: An ex-textile factory that's been refurbished into a gym, BLOK is a space that offers its members somewhere to de-stress in peace and quiet. there are no private rooms, the main area offering simple basic equipment for weights and cardio training, but it's obvious that the main focus of this gym is boxing and mixed martial arts - a ring is set up near the back of the wide open main area, and three doors to one side leading to small rooms - one is the office, the other leads to changing rooms/showers, and the last room holds classes for yoga and meditation, with an instructor coming in every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Other Important Notes: The membership fee is reasonable, and should they want to sign up for yoga or meditation there is a small, additional fee. Walk-in/non-members are welcome, though they will have to pay a high one-time fee, and cannot use the gym after the office hours unlike the members who have keys of their own. The owner is an ex-professional boxer who enjoys introducing people to the basics, and many members of the gym are boxing or martial arts aficionado who would be happy to spar with anyone.
