LOCATIONS
While the moderators will make up their fair share of locations, we want everyone to feel comfortable exploring and expanding upon the world of Meadowlark. This page will never be definitive as it's meant to be player built more than mod built. We will include any major locations down below that we feel are necessary.
> LIMITATIONS
The only limitations in place in game involve any major corporations - either in New Amsterdam or the world as a whole. All of Meadowlark's fictional corporations factor into the game's greater worldbuild and need to be carefully monitored by the moderators.
Right now, the three big established corporations in New Amsterdam are Pulsar, Vyonation, and Giles Bell. While each of these companies are worldwide operations, their headquarters are in New Amsterdam itself. These are not the only corporations in Meadowlark's world, however.
If you have any suggestions or ideas for these corporations, as well as outlets for opportunities, please contact us on our PLOT ENGAGEMENT POST.
Otherwise, please keep our SETTING PAGE in mind when you comment here. If you introduce a new business, name a park, or even develop a new apartment complex, we want to make sure that it adheres to the limitations of our game. For example: coffee shops exist, but are extremely expensive and only found within high-scale areas like New Amsterdam's financial district. Apartment complexes will largely involve smaller units - anything larger would be out of the range of all of the characters' budgets.
We will only monitor this page for anything that doesn't adhere to the setting, and ask that someone resubmit according to the guidelines of the game itself.
Following our eighth event, characters opened up the world through a fast travel network. Since travel between New Amsterdam and other locations is now much quicker, we have opened up a section below to allow players to begin to create locations outside of New Amsterdam. Please refer to the Outside of New Amsterdam comment for some additional information.

Location: The market is found underground in an abandoned metro tunnel that has been closed off and repurposed, a couple of blocks away from the New Amsterdam train line.
Appearance: An open market, it has over 300 stalls lining both sides of the metro tunnel. Stalls from fruit to vegetables to bugs, cosmetics, bedding, robotic and organic (lizards, birds) pets, and any other accessory or scrap that could be sold for some use by others. Even haircuts and other services are provided, as well as refreshments and freshly made snacks. The place maintains a consistent temperature. Although it can get crowded very easily, this is something that happens usually on the weekends. Despite the variety of things found there, the place is 100% legal and every vendor has been registered with the government.
Other Important Notes: Cuyp Markt has gone through a lot of changes throughout the years. It began trading in 1904 and still exists to this day, although no longer existing above ground, but having moved locations due to the ever extreme changes in the city.
