LOCATIONS
While the moderators will make up their fair share of locations, we want everyone to feel comfortable exploring and expanding upon the world of Meadowlark. This page will never be definitive as it's meant to be player built more than mod built. We will include any major locations down below that we feel are necessary.
> LIMITATIONS
The only limitations in place in game involve any major corporations - either in New Amsterdam or the world as a whole. All of Meadowlark's fictional corporations factor into the game's greater worldbuild and need to be carefully monitored by the moderators.
Right now, the three big established corporations in New Amsterdam are Pulsar, Vyonation, and Giles Bell. While each of these companies are worldwide operations, their headquarters are in New Amsterdam itself. These are not the only corporations in Meadowlark's world, however.
If you have any suggestions or ideas for these corporations, as well as outlets for opportunities, please contact us on our PLOT ENGAGEMENT POST.
Otherwise, please keep our SETTING PAGE in mind when you comment here. If you introduce a new business, name a park, or even develop a new apartment complex, we want to make sure that it adheres to the limitations of our game. For example: coffee shops exist, but are extremely expensive and only found within high-scale areas like New Amsterdam's financial district. Apartment complexes will largely involve smaller units - anything larger would be out of the range of all of the characters' budgets.
We will only monitor this page for anything that doesn't adhere to the setting, and ask that someone resubmit according to the guidelines of the game itself.
Following our eighth event, characters opened up the world through a fast travel network. Since travel between New Amsterdam and other locations is now much quicker, we have opened up a section below to allow players to begin to create locations outside of New Amsterdam. Please refer to the Outside of New Amsterdam comment for some additional information.

Location: As the name implies, it's a whole district behind large buildings that continues naming itself by that name, to the east of the city.
Appearance: The Red Light District is made up by several streets throughout the area. Some are narrower than others allowing only pedestrians through, while the rest are wide enough to fit a car going by. It upholds its name due to the red lights that are constantly on during the nighttime (during the daytime, the lights inside the windows remain turned on and red). A fake canal splits the district in the middle, an ode to how it was before. On one side of the canal, the famous 'windows' where women stand behind the glass and try to lure clients in, or simply pose for entertainment. On the other side of the canal, peep shows are available, as well as strip clubs and sex shops.
Other Important Notes: There is no age restriction to walking through the district, nor any fee to pay. The only restrictions are in the businesses spread through the district.

Location: A district within the city west of the train station.
Appearance: The Bloem District is what was once De Jordaan, a district well-known for its garden-like qualities in its every street and blooming flowers. In an attempt to join the reforestation efforts, the whole district kept true to its roots and was quick to foster a walk-in garden culture despite its tall skyscrapers that go high and bury deep underground. Sidewalks have vines allowing for shade, tall walkways connecting between buildings which are covered in vertical gardens, vines and other plants part of the building's architecture. The canals have been worked on to have the waters feed the surplus of plants and flowers adorning the walkways.
Other Important Notes: This district harbors up to 17 streets and five canals that go through it. It's a rather large one, and many consider it an affluent part of the city. Despite this, it's very welcoming of anyone and luxury is found within the buildings, not on their exterior. The streets are named after flowers and trees.

Location:A small district built on a slope of a hill to the north of the city.
Appearance: The Sinnan district is a cluster of mismatching buildings, with shops and businesses surrounding the train station at the bottom of the hill and the domestic housing on the uphill side. The streets take the form of many small alleyways that weave in and out of each other, lending it a complicated feel that would easily lead people astray, if they are not familiar with the lay of the district.
Other Important Notes: Not all of the winding alleyways of the Sinnan district feature these, but a lot of them have fun and quirky touches that decorate the otherwise rather drab little streets. Nobody quite knows who draws these, or when, and don't try to use these as landmarks - the paintings change every now and then without warning as different people paint over the older designs! A few of the buildings surrounding the train station also feature some neon light designs that echo an architectural style of the old.

Location: In the heart of the city, this is New Amsterdam's main entertainment district, populated by high-end stores and clubs and other attractive businesses.
Appearance: Bright, crowded, high traffic, busy at all times of the day and night. Less of a street and more of an entire area of crisscrossing avenues that feed into one main wide city block, but still commonly called "Brandt Square" by NA citizens. Consider it comparable to downtown New York City or Tokyo in their past prime. Advertisements will be everywhere on high-definition screens visible through the neural implants.
Other Important Notes: Most likely to find dance and concert venues, electronics stores (looking to buy a new hoverbike? look no further), and other shopping essentials for those with the credits to spend. The popular Aslyum club is located in this area.
