NAME: cassian andor
USERNAME: [personal profile] evasives
CANON: star wars rogue one
CURRENT POWER: geokinesis (levitation, splitting earth, metalbending, ground bursts, earth walls, terrakinetic constructs)
NEW POWER ADAPTATIONS: earthquakes - cassian can now pull off a little seismic activity! limited initially to an area up to 300 feet from him as the epicenter, with force starting at a 3 on the richter scale (with practice over ic months it can grow to a 6 on the richter scale). it will also be tied to his emotions as he is a very collected individual and has a hard time acknowledging any of them. he needs to let go of his tight grip over his emotions or make use of them through the empathy bond to access this ability, the cracks in his emotional armor mirroring the cracks in the streets. allowing himself to be vulnerable and open will effectively create those same vulnerabilities in the earth; learning how to do that more easily will make his power come more easily and grow in strength as he becomes more adept at opening up.

WHAT BROUGHT THIS ABOUT? cassian has been investigating earthquakes since he made a potential connection with his spine, and it's been a constant piece in the back of his mind. since a strange dream pre simulation, he's been wondering if it was his own doing that may have caused his spinal surgery, and to top it all off, the planet was again rocked by an earthquake with terrible timing: jyn is away at the epicenter, and two people he came to care about deeply have disappeared. despite the stability he's been slowly creating for himself on earth, he's been reminded again that it can be a tenuous thing, and he would still very much like to be able to control it, even when it's on, how do you say it... shaky ground (👀). it's a manifestation of his trying to control instability, with the neat dichotomy of having to let go in his want for control. (this power up was earned during the simulation event)
