In-character, he will have had to let one of the NPCs know directly (we can consider this handwaved!) and they will pass his interest on to their higher-ups in the organization. Keith will not be considered a fully joined agent until he's earned more trust from Morningstar, so he will be in something of an unofficial provisional period. He will be tapped for tasks or jobs, and his success in completing them will go towards his reputation and status as a member.
Maintaining a good cover job is also a part of this! Of the potentials you've listed, bouncer and taxi driver will be the easiest to achieve. Both need some specific training credentials, but these are easy enough to get, or Keith can look for more informal positions where the lack of credentials will be overlooked. For security, either in a company or personal, he will need some experience in his background, and shuttle pilot work will require intensive training. We'd also note that while the latter would give him open access to the colonies, the work may impede on his playability in game as he would be piloting these very long journeys regularly.
