BRAIN SURGERY CLUB
This is a quick and dirty permissions post so that we can get an idea of what players don't want to deal with after their character goes through brain surgery. There is also an opportunity for other invasive scientific experimentation, so we want to be able to tailor the plot to your needs. This is both a signup for what you do want to have happen and don't want to have happen. This isn't by majority: if Finn's player decides to have Finn turned into a cat via strange scientific experimentation, that won't happen to Mia because Mia's player isn't down for that.
As an important note, removing the neural implant will not grant anyone their canon powers back.
◉ In terms of what you can do here, we're willing to make your hopes and dreams come true! However, we definitely understand if you're not into playing out the process. If you'd like to have your character wake up to some changes, we're definitely interested in making that work. Sometimes players are cool with something happening (however temporarily), but don't want to play out the scary gory aspects. We get it.
◉ Although a facet of this plot does involve having the neural implant removed, we do not intend for this to be a permanent removal of contact from the rest of the world! We're choosing to leave certain aspects open-ended based on player response.
◉ The body horror here is only an optional objective that we added to a larger plot opportunity. If you're not down for that, we also want to make sure that we design the plot so you don't have to have your character interact with some of the more horrific aspects. We just want to make sure to have your permissions set in stone!
We're happy to work with anyone regarding their "Yes" section to ensure that it fits the world! We'll probably reply to you to reach out and come to something that works within our world build.
We recommend that you all keep up communication OOCly leading up to this plot. In addition, we will not be unscreening this post; this is purely so we can have all the information we need to craft an experience that's comfortable for you as a player.
