hey mods!!! jumping in here with some follow up immediately because i have Many Emotions about this plot and i've been screaming into my hands for the last hour already:

1. caroline will be in her first month on the job as an events coordinator with the committee, and will mostly be handling menial tasks & errands for her bosses (delivering goods, running to check on vendors, getting lattes) while marcos is handling courier gigs. as trace mentioned, their schedules do tend to overlap in the evening / late afternoon hours, so they'd be together at least for a while each day.

would the gangs:
- capture them independently and take them to unique locations away from each other?
- capture them independently and take them to a single location?
- capture them together and then separate them?
- capture them together and transport them to a single location?

2. this is kind of a dumb/obvious question but... if the gangs were told "we're not working for morningstar", i'm assuming they would not believe them, right?

caroline especially would be very quick to point out that she was stopping somebody from stealing from people who were already suffering... though she might also be stupid enough to point out that they were lucky to still be alive. (she clearly did not learn her lesson from the network on not making vague threats towards people. sorry, clarke.)

marcos would also reiterate that they weren't working for morningstar, but were just taking care of their own business. neither of them are buying into the "let's all play nice and get along" ideology post-capture, unfortunately, so i don't think peacemaking is going to be on the agenda.

3. as a well (and recently)-fed vampire, caroline is exceptionally strong when compared to a human girl her weight/size, and though the gangs would be aware to some extent of her displaced power, i am assuming they would be unaware of the true nature of her strength and speed.

during the interrogation, what methods would they use to restrain them and what constitutes violence? are they getting slapped, pistol whipped, shot? waterboarded? if caroline was to break free, would they attack? hands-on combat, gunfire? knife fights?

for consideration on possible retailiation: she would be angry about being restrained and would make every effort to free herself if her captors refuse to do it themselves, including attempting to break handcuffs or straps if needed. she would also be willing to attack (and kill if necessary) the interrogators if it came down to it, especially if they threatened or attempted to hurt her/marcos/the other displaced.

4. i don't think either trace or i want to permanently kill off our characters but we're Clearly Not Opposed To Trauma.... so if caroline needs to fake die as a vampire by getting stabbed in the stomach or something and then be carted off by marcos to be "revived" later for some sweet sweet h/c points, we're both signing on the dotted line to make it happen. (thanks, tvd canon, you're the real mvp!!!)

thank you thank you thank you for such a stellar plot opportunity and excuse to flex my murder baby in new directions!!! can't wait to see what we can do with this ♥
