Kira and I coming to you with a potential idea for the miniplot we've been working on between Cain and Prompto and their friendly spy-style canoodling with Hideki. Mainly, we want to progress this further and see what possible plot material we might be able to dig up as a result. We mentioned having Hideki NPC'd for us in the future, and we'd still love this, as it would be awesome to have more depth to Hideki and his frat boy friendship with Cain and Prompto. (And maybe also because we're a little attached to him at this point... pls forgive us.)
So, incidentally Cain and Prompto's birthdays fall within the same few days: Cain on 10/27 and Prompto on 10/25, which will take place in the latter half of May according to the OOC calendar. Assuming their DOB is attached to their ID, it wouldn't be a stretch that Hideki would be aware of this -- and if it's not attached to their ID, we can work out a way for Hideki to find out when their birthdays are. Our idea was this: would Hideki be likely to throw a party for Cain and Prompto? If not, would he attend a party celebrating their birthdays?
Of course, we don't want to put all the work on you guys, so if we have enough information then we could set up a potential party log ourselves and invite PCs who might be allowed to attend (depending on if Hideki threw it versus PCs throwing it). Would you be willing to NPC Hideki at this event for a thread between him, Cain, and Prompto? This is just an idea, since we have no clue where this might take us or if you have a better suggestion, but we're trying to expand this miniplot into something fun and exploratory re: the Maedas! Having a party where others could attend would also make it more inclusive to the game.
Additionally, if Hideki threw the party himself, would his parents make an appearance? Or if it was in the Maeda household, could snooping around be accomplished? This might be more plot-intensive and open up more doors if Cain or Prompto were able to interact with his parents/the Maeda residence, whether that be discussing with you guys what they find out or actually writing out an interaction.
In the event that Hideki wouldn't want to attend a party (but like... we know who he is), an NPC'd interaction with all three somehow tied into Halloween or just a regular hang-out session would work too. Again, this is all up in the air, but we wanted to bring it forward with plenty of time to plan!
