to avoid confusion, here's a separate comment/question regarding social media presence in the wake of the dreamscapes! i'd like to know what kind of social media following/presence my characters might have after their recent hijinks (or any at all)
for daisy: — after the events of oktoberfest, she's been made aware by other PCs that her features have been spotted on a few shrines in the city! since then, she's been enjoying scoping them out, and has posted a few pictures of herself on cooltalk in front of these shrines with cheesy captions like "WHO'S THAT GIRL" or similar — after waking up in new tokyo, her cooltalk has started to get a number of comments on photos and gifs of sparring & training montages regarding the monster attacks and her efforts. she doesn't respond to every comment, but when she does, it's typically something cheeky rather than a direct yes/no. (i'd like to think this would only fuel the fire in the same way that actors giving cheeky responses to fan questions only makes people more interested, but i could be wrong here!) — she has seen a few of the videos of the PCs fighting monsters, but hasn't tried to host them on her own account. she's seen too many people in the "real" world have their accounts wiped by covert organizations, and she'd rather that not happen to her. however, is it possible for her to save the videos on a future equivalent of a private drive without posting publicly?
for caroline: — after waking up in the train to new tokyo, she was challenged to a drinking battle by takeshi kovacs (or... she might have convinced him to challenge her, but she accepted). she managed to get him drunk enough to completely pass out at the bar, something that was filmed by prompto and posted online. a few of the PCs (laura moon, etc) would possibly have either cooltalk-equivalent-of-retweeting'd it or commented as well! — nothing critical or worldshaking here, but she does use cooltalk quite a bit, in the "basic white girl" future equivalent of instagram. she'd have posted a lot while in new tokyo of the recovery efforts, #preserve and so forth, with most of the content being a mix of carefully curated shots for the 'gram of other people/places/things and then just real cute selfies. because selfies are important. — thanks to the monthly cr meme (really, thanks, huge fan of this change) i'll be looking into having her partner with other cooltalk influencers for her positivity project soon! — also: are there any special trends for young adult / teen media that caroline would become aware of? i'm thinking of the #trashtag challenge that's currently a big thing on social media or the ALS ice bucket challenge from a few years ago, but i'm open to any ideas you might have!
