the description of his physiology is that he's cold to the touch, and his heartbeats are extremely faint/far apart. i'm sorry i don't have a more concise link to offer, but critical role's version is homebrewed. i'm gonna ruminate more on his canon point but i might have some further questions if i do take him from later on.
