hey there mods! i have a few questions for you now that i've tossed in hiccup's app.
1) so hiccup's left leg from below the knee down is a prosthetic. from what i understand, characters can't come into the game with any items at all -- would that include his false leg, or would he be able to have that for mobility purposes?
2) from the game's setting information, it seems like it would look strange that he hasn't had any kind of advanced treatment for his leg. how difficult would it be for morningstar to fabricate his in-world story, given that they'd have to account for how he lost his leg? also, would he be strongly encouraged to get a cybernetic one from one of the hospitals in new amsterdam? or would that have been done pre-intro log? i have to admit that, if he were to get in, i'd prefer him being able to consciously consent to getting a new prosthetic, if that's possible!
2b) what kind of operation is this (ie outpatient, in-patient)? since healthcare is free, would this be considered something he wouldn't have to pay for? what's the recovery time look like? is physical therapy or medications necessary? future cyberpunk crutches? would this have to be done pretty much immediately after the intro log and he gets his in-world identity set up?
3) i'm also curious about logistics of prosthetics! i assume they'd be designed to look as inconspicuous as possible given anti-android sentiments in new amsterdam. does that mean there'd be false skin, or a skin-like substance on the prosthetic? is it pressure or pain sensitive? can it detach, once attached? is there any kind of regular maintenance necessary for upkeep? or some kind of maintenance panel that can be opened for diagnostics?
additionally, how heavy would it be? is it more durable than a normal human limb? does it run on some kind of a power source, like a battery, and would that need to be charged every so often? also, can a prosthetic be damaged? for instance, scratches or breaks on the surface, or problems with exposure to water or electrical surges? are temperature fluctuations an issue?
3b) is there an industry of mechanics for upkeep or people who can modify cybernetic limbs? can prosthetics be fiddled with or personalized in any way? for instance, with added functionalities like storage compartments or anything like that? would that be above board, or is there a black market for this?
4) does the morningstar safehouse have future cyberpunk crutches?
wOW THIS TURNED OUT LONG....i'm sorry for the length and thank you!
