Hi Mods! Long story short, this character took a bullet to the head and lived.... but has to have his brain hooked up to an external compute network to do things like walk and understand language, due to the brain damage.

Is medical tech advanced enough to fix that degree of brain damage in this setting? Or is it more reasonable to assume they'd just hook his existing neural implant up to the newly implanted one and continue to 'outsource' some of his mental processing?
