Hi! I have a weird question about an item request before I put it in.
In canon, Keith has two weapons, and the first of which basically defines his entire arc. It's a dark blade with a purple insignia on it, and it's connected to both his and his mom's life forces. It's not entirely clear that it would keep glowing if Keith died, but not his mom, or vice versa, and Voltron isn't the kind of canon to reveal that unless it proves necessary.
The big thing with this knife is that the glowing insignia is a sign of the connection to someone's life force/DNA as a half-Galra, or the fact that they're living. When Keith first comes into his own and begins his long arc to becoming a leader, he activates the knife and it becomes a sword. Only Keith (or his mom) is able to do this with this particular dagger.
Basically, I don't want to give Keith too much angst/grief about his mom if he dreams up the item, but it'd be the natural first request for him. Would it still glow, and would he be able to connect to it to have it form as a sword, since his DNA is still Galran?
He has no mental connection to the blade that's visible. He can't attract it, teleport it to him, or anything (he can do that with the other weapon, but I'm not touching that for now). It just seems to be connected to his life force some ... how ... Space Magic That's Poorly Explained.
If you need more information, please ask. I'm not sure if I explained it well. Given some of the other connections that have been suppressed, I'm not sure if his blade's connection to him would be suppressed if gained through an item reclaim, since his connection seems more biological in nature, but also spiritual because its activation is a part of his growth as a person? It feels like a borderline case, and if it would induce grief, I'd put it off until Keith was more settled.

ANYWAY, that's all. Thank you!
