1. Soda has evolved from mass consumption to something that's more of a specialty drink. Since the primary ingredients of soda no longer include additives such as high fructose corn syrup (since corn is no longer a cheap commodity), chemical preservatives and coloring, it's more expensive to produce. Soda is now made as naturally as possible, usually from cane sugar and carbonated water with added natural flavorings. There's quite a large specialty market for it, but it can get expensive depending on the vendor. It no longer comes in cans, and is either dispensed from a fountain machine or in glass bottles. Intake of sodas and other sugar-laden drinks is discouraged on a daily basis.
2. To be clear, we ask that all players wait until one OOC month has passed. It counts from the approval date (since the arrival log date changes from month to month).
3. We're clarifying on the items request page that they cannot get the items within the event itself. You can go ahead and put in an item request, but it won't show up during the event.
